NJIT Courses for High School Students

The Academy College Courses at NJIT are designed for high achieving 11th and 12th grade high school students eager to get a jump-start on their college careers by earning college credits while still in high school.

New Jersey Young Playwrights Program

The New Jersey Young Playwrights Program has expanded possibilities for student playwrights to have their work read and performed. Along with the NJ Young Playwrights Contest which selects up to 15 plays by students grades 4-12 to be performed at the NJ Young Playwrights Festival and provides a Governor’s Award to winning High School Playwrights, the Program has also partnered with NJ 350 to award cash prizes for plays about New Jersey’s Revolutionary War Past (grades 4-12), for plays about disabilities (Living with Disabilities category, grades 4-6), the Roxbury Young Playwrights Project (a month long development project, grades 7-12), and the NJRep Young Playwrights Project (HS Students living in communities affected by Hurricane Sandy), which provides a nine-week development process with professional actors and directors.
