With everything from applying for financial aid and registering for placement tests to choosing a tuition payment plan and applying for on-campus housing, our first-year timeline (which is mailed to all students admitted to Rutgers University–New Brunswick) provides step-by-step information on the activities planned in the upcoming months. We encourage you to review this information with your students to ensure a smooth transition to Rutgers. All students have until May 1 to accept our offer of admission.
Admission to Rutgers is increasingly competitive and so are our merit awards. This year we have offered merit-based scholarships to more than 4,500 admitted first-year students. Students who received a scholarship have been notified by email to check their scholarship amount online. We wish we had more scholarships to award to all the terrific students we have admitted.
As families compare costs among colleges, you can direct them to our online net price calculator. Rutgers also offers several tuition payment plans including a 12-month payment plan beginning in late April.
