Mason Gross Summer Programs

The Mason Gross Extension Division, the community arts division at Rutgers University–New Brunswick, offers non-credit courses for students of all ages. Middle and high school students can take private instrumental or vocal music lessons, join an ensemble, get en pointe, hone their art skills, or create their own documentary film!

Why Mason Gross Extension Division?

  • Dance: One of only five schools in the country certified by American Ballet Theatre®.
  • Theater: Preparation for both collegiate theater and musical theater auditions.
  • Visual Arts: Portfolio preparation for art school applications.
  • Music: Private music or voice lessons year-round, and jazz, percussion, choral, or chamber music ensembles.
  • Filmmaking: We’ll take care of the cameras and editing equipment.
Your students can get to know Rutgers faculty, students, and the campus while taking classes that interest them. Take a peek at our full course offerings, including summer camps, conservatories, institutes, and intensives. Residential and commuter options are available.
