Scholarships

The 2018 Bill Farnan Memorial Scholarship Application can be found here and the deadline for application is May 18, 2018.  The awards shall be used to further each recipient’s education at college, professional, technical, vocational or business school that will result in enhancing recipient’s marketability in the Design* community. Three (3) $2,000 one-time non-renewable scholarships are available to applicants.

The Italian American Association of Monmouth County is offing a $1000 scholarship to a business major who resides in Monmouth County. Application deadline is May 30, 2018 and can be found here.

OceanFirst Foundation has a long-standing tradition of supporting higher education. Each year, the Foundation awards grants to local Colleges and Universities in the OceanFirst footprint for the purpose of awarding scholarships. In the eight years of the OceanFirst Scholarship Program, $1.8 million in grants have been awarded enabling more than 1,100 high school graduates from central and southern New Jersey to pursue their dream of an education.
In 2018, $400,000 has been awarded to our partner schools – Atlantic Cape Community CollegeBrookdale Community CollegeCumberland County College,  Georgian Court UniversityMonmouth UniversityOcean County CollegeRowan University and Stockton University – to provide scholarships for direct educational expenses to students in any year of undergraduate study. Each College/University awards students a total of $50,000 in OceanFirst Scholarships.
OceanFirst Scholarship recipients at Community Colleges each receive $1,000 awards and students at attending private Universities each receive $2,500 awards.  Each College/University evaluates all scholarship applications and select recipients based on the College/University’s existing policies and procedures for awarding scholarships.  Selection decisions are made completely independent of OceanFirst Foundation.  Representatives from OceanFirst Bank and OceanFirst Foundation, including all employees and board members, do not participate in the selection process.

The Spring Lake Five Mile Run Scholarship is due by May 1, 2018. You must be a resident of Spring Lake, Belmar, Avon, Spring Lake Heights, Manasquan, Sea Girt or Brielle.

Rumson Presbyterian - The First Presbyterian Church of Rumson offers Peacemaking Scholarships to two Monmouth County high school seniors who exemplify the standards established by its Peacemaking committee and have striven to achieve the ideals of our mission. Deadline: May 5, 2018.

NJ School Buildings and Grounds Association Scholarship - Open to students pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in the field of construction, facilities management, architecture, or engineering. Deadline: May 1, 2018.

NJ School Building and Grounds Association Scholarship - Open to a graduating senior who's home school district is a member of the Monmouth/Ocean Chapter of the NJSBGA, who is pursuing an education in a technical institute or any training in a vocational school that will enable him/her a career in any of the General Construction Trades. Deadline: May 1, 2018.

Students eligible for this scholarship must be Spring Lake Heights residents and have graduated from Spring Lake Heights Elementary School.  The committee is looking for students who are involved, well-rounded individuals, dedicated to pursuing their goals while enhancing their own lives and those of the people around them. The Belmar Woman’s Club is, once again, offering scholarships to college-bound seniors. Each scholarship is in the amount of $1000.00. The scholarships are available to both male and female students. Deadline is May 11, 2018 and the application and information can be found here and here.

The Spring Lake Historical Society will award two $1,000 and one $2,500 scholarships to eligible students who are residents of Spring Lake. The application can be found here. Deadline: May 1, 2018.

The Monmouth Civic Chorus has $3,000 scholarships available for college-bound graduating seniors who are vocally talented. Application and more information can be found here. Students will have to audition on Saturday, May 12, 2018 between 12:30-5:00pm. The auditions will take place at the United Methodist Church in Red Bank, NJ. Application Deadline: May 5, 2018

There is a Gabriel and Christine Chiu Review It Scholarship worth $1,000. Students must be attending a college or university no later than September 2018 and have a GPA of 2.5 or greater and plan on attending school in the United States. AES Engineering is pleased to be able to continue offering scholarships to motivated students to help in the furthering of their education. This award in the amount of $500 is available to high school seniors and all students attending post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? As an organization committed to helping student athletes use sports to further their education, they are proud to be able to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a current or future college student who plays, or has played high school or college sports. The Brielle Community Library Association's Jean Wetzel Memorial Scholarship Fund is worth $1,000. All applicants must be a high school student and resident of Brielle, NJ.
